The AIADMK, principal opposition in Tamil Nadu, will celebrate its 54th Founding Day on October 17 and 18, 2025, with grand public meetings, welfare activities, and flag hoisting across Tamil Nadu and other states including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Delhi.
Founded by M.G. Ramachandran (MGR) and nurtured under the guidance of J. Jayalalithaa, the party continues to uphold the principles of C.N. Annadurai (Perarignar Anna). Celebrations will include garlanding statues and portraits of MGR and Jayalalithaa, organizing Annadanam (free meals), and various welfare initiatives for the needy.
AIADMK General Secretary and Opposition Leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami has directed all party MLAs, MPs, district secretaries, and wing office-bearers to actively participate and submit detailed reports and photographs of the events to the party headquarters. Palaniswami extended greetings to all party cadres, emphasizing that the 54th Foundation Day should reflect AIADMK’s enduring commitment to social justice, public service, and the welfare of Tamils everywhere.
