The Department of Posts released a set of picture postcards titled “The Hues of Tamil Nadu” at the Postmaster General’s office in Chennai, as part of National Postal Week celebrations. The postcards feature evocative paintings by renowned artist N.S. Manohar, highlighting Tamil Nadu’s cultural and natural landscapes.The initiative aims to promote philately and celebrate the state’s rich heritage, coinciding with World Post Day on October 9. This year’s Postal Week theme is “Post for people: Local Service. Global Reach,” emphasizing the role of postal services in connecting communities worldwide.
