Rio Raj and Malavika Mohan are coming together for Aan Paavam Pollathathu. Directed by Kalaiarasan Thangavel, is hitting screens 31 October.Speaking at a press event, Rio Raj promised that “Aan Paavam Pollathathu” would be a different film, focusing on the often overlooked silent sufferings of men from a male perspective. “We have spoken about it in a hilarious manner,” Rio said, adding that the team’s hard work is clearly visible on screen and will resonate with audiences when it releases on October 31.
Kalaiarasan Thangavel revealed that before finalizing the script, the team spoke with men in Kanyakumari and other regions to hear their grievances directly. He highlighted that while men are generally seen as the victim in relationship disputes or legal conflicts, the film aims to spark a new way of looking at men’s issues after watching the story unfold.
Proudly noting the film secured a U certificate, Kalaiarasan credited Rio for perfectly delivering a role specifically conceived for him and expressed that viewers will better understand men’s experiences and feelings through this comical and insightful drama.
Rio concluded by saying that the film’s unique approach and the entire team’s effort will ensure viewers leave the theatre with a fresh outlook on gender dynamics in relationships.
