Chief Minister MK Stalin showered high praise on filmmaker Mari Selvaraj’s latest sports drama, ‘Bison Kaalamaadan’, calling it “another gem in Mari Selvaraj’s cinematic crown.” In his social media post, Stalin lauded the director for transforming the story of a young kabaddi player’s struggles, both on and off the court, into an “exceptional cinematic experience.”In his post, Stalin commended Selvaraj for consistently crafting socially resonant stories that blend art with purpose. “I have been closely following each of his films. Every single one has never failed to leave a sharp message and impact on our minds,” he wrote. “Mari Selvaraj has very maturely shown the path that youth should follow, weaving in politics with sports as the central theme.”
The politician shared pictures from his meeting with the film’s team and added, “Bison’ shines as an example of brother Mari’s cinematic language and artistic excellence continuing to improve further and further. My heartfelt appreciation to all the actors, including Dhruv Vikram, Pasupathy, Anupama, and Rajisha, who have delivered outstanding performances and breathed life into Mari’s screenplay, as well as all the technical artists who worked behind the scenes! My wishes to Mari Selvaraj to continue giving many more such creations to Tamil cinema (sic).”
