The Union government has approved seven major projects worth approximately Rs 5,532 crore under the Electronic Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) for Tamil Nadu, announced Nainar Nagenthran, state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).He attributed the success to the leadership of Narendra Modi and expressed it as a demonstration of the central government’s strong commitment to the state’s industrial growth.
Nagenthran highlighted that Tamil Nadu will account for nearly 77 % of the investment, with around Rs 4,200 crore of the funds expected to generate thousands of jobs for young people in the state. He said the move positions Tamil Nadu to become a national leader in electronics manufacturing and supports the vision of a self-reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat).
