In a major organisational move ahead of next year’s elections, actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay has divided the State’s 234 Assembly constituencies into 10 administrative zones, appointing two in-charges for each zone to strengthen the party’s groundwork and supervise district-level activities.The newly appointed zonal in-charges will function directly under Vijay’s supervision, monitoring the work of district secretaries and ensuring coordination between grassroots cadre and the central leadership. Each zone will comprise around 23 Assembly seats, with two in-charges overseeing political mobilisation, membership drives, and constituency-level campaign preparations.
Meanwhile, the TVK’s 28-member administrative committee, personally constituted by Vijay, is expected to take major policy and organisational decisions.
