The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has confirmed that the suicide bomber involved in the November 10 attack near Delhi’s Red Fort used a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (IED). The blast, caused by an explosive-laden white car resulted in the deaths of 13 people and injuries to over 20 others. Investigations revealed that over two kilograms of ammonium nitrate mixed with fuel oil and detonators were used in the device. The suspected bomber has been identified as Dr. Umar Mohammad, also known as Umar Nabi, a doctor associated with a medical college in Faridabad. DNA evidence confirmed his presence in the vehicle. Authorities believe the explosion may have occurred prematurely due to mishandling or an incomplete device. The attack has been linked to a “white-collar” terror module involving several doctors with alleged foreign connections, underlining a highly planned conspiracy. @@@
