Under the banner of Seven Screen Studio, producer SS Lalith Kumar has backed the film Sirai, starring Vikram Prabhu and L.K. Akshay Kumar in lead roles. The film marks the directorial debut of Suresh Rajakumari and is based on true events, told in a completely different and intense narrative space. Sirai is all set for a worldwide theatrical release on December 25, as a special Christmas offering.
The satellite and OTT rights of the film have been acquired by Zee, adding to the growing buzz around the project. The story has been penned by director Tamizh of Tanakkaran fame, drawing inspiration from real-life incidents he personally encountered. Suresh Rajakumari, who earlier worked as an associate director with acclaimed filmmaker Vetri Maaran, has brought this powerful story to life on screen.
The latest song from the film, titled “Mannichiru,” was released today. The song sequence was filmed in Vellore and features Vikram Prabhu alongside the female lead, Anantha. Noted composer Justin Prabhakaran, who is handling the music for the film, has also written the lyrics for the song. It has been beautifully rendered by singers Sathyaprakash and Anandhi Joshi.
