AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami accused the DMK government of deliberately creating communal tension and administrative failure by refusing to implement a Madras High Court single judge’s order on lighting the traditional Karthigai Deepam lamp at Tiruparankundram.

He claimed the ruling DMK staged a “drama” over two days, disturbing public order instead of upholding the court directive and maintaining peace.

EPS emphasized that rulers must treat all religions equally, warning that bias toward one faith signals administrative bankruptcy. He alleged the government’s actions in paving the way for avoidable conflict expose its failure to ensure good governance.

The opposition leader stated Tamil Nadu’s people will not tolerate such behavior and will deliver a “fitting lesson” to the failed regime soon.
