Ramadoss vows to retrieve PMK after Delhi Court verdict

Dr S Ramadoss, founder of the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), has vowed to reclaim full control of the party, following what he described as a favorable verdict from the Delhi High Court in the ongoing leadership dispute. In a statement issued on Sunday, Ramadoss said the court affirmed that the Election Commission of India (ECI) lacks the legal authority to declare his son, Anbumani Ramadoss, as party president.
Ramadoss alleged that Anbumani had attempted to ‘snatch away’ the party by submitting forged documents claiming an extended presidency from 2023 to 2026. According to him, this fraudulent move has been invalidated by the court’s ruling.  He further declared his determination to restore the PMK’s official recognition before the upcoming elections and continue working for the welfare of the people.
Meanwhile, the PMK’s honorary president G.K. Mani has filed a formal complaint with the Delhi Police, accusing Anbumani of forging documents submitted to the ECI.  Ramadoss also used the opportunity to demand that the Tamil Nadu government release nine months’ pending salaries owed to daily-wage non-teaching staff in government colleges — signalling that his political efforts will continue to focus on public welfare along with restructuring the party.
