In a strong statement at a public meeting in Pooncheri, Anbumani Ramadoss accused the senior leader G.K. Mani of orchestrating the split between him and his father, PMK founder S. Ramadoss.According to Anbumani, “the very next day” after he was made party president, Mani allegedly began conspiracies and worked to divide the father–son duo. He claimed that Mani’s actions — including behind-the-scenes manoeuvrings and false statements circulated in his father’s name — caused the rift.
Anbumani further described G.K. Mani and his associates as unfit for leadership, warning party members against believing the “lies” spread in his and Ramadoss’s name. He even questioned whether Ramadoss was aware of the contents of the statements released allegedly under his name.
The remarks come amid an ongoing leadership tussle within Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), where rival factions back different leaders following a prolonged internal conflict over control of the party.
