Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leader and film star Vijay is set to hold a major campaign event in Erode on December 18, party officials have confirmed.

The public meeting, organised by TVK coordinator K.A. Sengottaiyan, will take place near Vijayamangalam toll gate from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. as part of the party’s ongoing political outreach ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

Preparations are underway with required permissions being sought from authorities, and the event is expected to mark Vijay’s first major campaign in the state after his public appearances in other regions.

TVK leaders hope the rally will attract new supporters and strengthen the party’s presence in Erode district.

The meeting comes amid heightened political activity in Tamil Nadu, with Vijay also being positioned as TVK’s key leader for upcoming electoral battles.
