Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) general secretary Premalatha Vijayakant on Monday appealed to party workers across Tamil Nadu to turn out in large numbers for the party’s upcoming mass conference, Makkal Urimai Meetpu Maanadu 2.0, scheduled for January 9, 2026, at Paalar village near Cuddalore.
In a video address to the cadre, Premalatha extended her greetings to district secretaries, union and town-level office bearers, branch functionaries, women’s wing members and grassroots workers. She described the party’s rank and file as the true strength of DMDK, bound by their deep respect and emotional connect with the party’s founder-leader.
Urging the cadre to take personal responsibility for the event’s success, she said the conference should be organised on a massive scale and projected as a victory gathering. Premalatha stressed that the credit for a successful meet would belong entirely to the party workers who stand steadfast with DMDK.
She said the conference would serve as a crucial platform to reassert people’s rights and reinvigorate the party’s mission. Emphasising unity and commitment, Premalatha expressed confidence that collective effort and honest intent would ensure success, adding that the meet would strengthen the party’s political momentum as it prepares for future electoral challenges.
