Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin has said the judiciary has once again exposed the BJP-led Union government’s misuse of central agencies to target Opposition leaders.Welcoming the Supreme Court’s refusal to take cognisance of the ED’s FIR and chargesheet against Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case, Stalin said the ruling vindicated their stand.
In a post on X, he alleged that such cases were filed without legal basis only to harass and malign political rivals. He said the BJP was indulging in vendetta politics as it could not tolerate the Gandhi family’s commitment to secularism and constitutional values.
Stalin added that repeated acts of political vendetta were damaging the credibility of premier investigative institutions and turning them into tools of political intimidation.
