As many as 12.32 crore electors have been included in the draft electoral rolls of three states and two Union territories published on Tuesday under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR), compared to 13.36 crore voters as on October 27, Election Commission officials said.
The draft lists also include new voters who applied through Form 6. Electors who did not return enumeration forms have been placed in the ASD (Absent, Shifted, Dead/Duplicate) category, but their names have not been deleted and will be reviewed before the final rolls are published in February.
State-wise, West Bengal included 7.08 crore of its 7.66 crore electors in the draft, with 58 lakh in ASD. Rajasthan included 5.04 crore of 5.48 crore, placing 44 lakh in ASD. Goa listed 10.84 lakh of 11.85 lakh, Puducherry included 9.18 lakh of 10.21 lakh, and Lakshadweep included 56,384 of 58,000 electors.
