AIADMK general secretary and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami spoke at a Christmas celebration organised by his party in Keelppakkam, Chennai. He urged people to be cautious of what he described as “evil forces” and warned that if people are misled by them, the state could fall into darkness.
Palaniswami said AIADMK has been celebrating Christmas for the past 20 years to honour the Christian community, and stressed that his party respects all religions and castes. He criticised the ruling DMK, accusing it of speaking about minority welfare only for electoral gain and called this a “deceptive drama.”
He appealed to people to stay alert and not be fooled by those who “dress good but have hidden intentions.” Palaniswami said that alliances are temporary and formed based on situations, but the party’s core principles remain strong. He also referenced past leaders like J. Jayalalithaa, saying AIADMK will continue to fight against what he sees as negative forces, regardless of whether it is in power.
Palaniswami emphasised that his party stands firmly on its policies and traditions, and urged the public to understand the difference between real support for minorities and political tactics.
