JioHotstar has released the launch promo of its upcoming Tamil original series ‘LBW – Love Beyond Wicket’, starring Vikranth Santhosh in his OTT debut. The series, produced by AteleFactory, will premiere on January 1, 2026, and is the first Tamil release from the platform’s South Unbound slate.
‘LBW’ follows the story of Rangan, a former cricketer turned reluctant coach who takes charge of an underdog team in a struggling academy, striving to restore its lost glory. Blending cricket, emotion, ambition and redemption, the series explores second chances both in life and sport.
Written by Aruna Rakhee and directed by Ganesh Karthikeyan, the series features Sindhu Shyam, Niyathi, Harish, Ayaz Khan and others in key roles. Vikranth said he is thrilled to make his digital debut with a story rooted in cricket, a sport close to his heart.
The Tamil sports drama will stream exclusively on JioHotstar from January 1, 2026.
