Union Minister and Tamil Nadu BJP election in-charge Piyush Goyal said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will face the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections under the leadership of AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami, reinforcing alliance unity and confidence in their combined electoral prospects.
Goyal, who arrived in Chennai today, held discussions at the BJP state office with senior party leaders on election strategy and ground preparedness. He also met Palaniswami and other alliance partners to consult on campaign planning and coordination.
Addressing reporters after the meeting, he expressed his pleasure at reuniting with Palaniswami and emphasised that the BJP and its allies aim to deliver development and employment for the people of Tamil Nadu. Goyal stated that the BJP will approach the elections with confidence, guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, and work together with Palaniswami at the forefront.
He said the coming elections will see the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) achieve a commanding victory and that the BJP-AIADMK coalition is prepared to take on the incumbent DMK-led alliance, which they described as “corrupt.”
Goyal’s visit also aligns with broader alliance talks, including discussions on seat sharing and electoral strategy ahead of the 2026 polls as the BJP and AIADMK work to consolidate their partnership in the state.

Wonder whether this is going to be a good and healthy relationship! All the best!
