Sengottaiyan predicts key AIADMK leaders will join TVK soon, signaling a major shift in Tamil Nadu politics ahead of 2026 elections.
Speaking in Gobichettipalayam, the TVK coordinator emphasized openness to alliances and Vijay’s leadership. He paid tribute to party ideologue Veeramangai Velu Nachiyar on her remembrance day.
TVK coordinator K.A. Sengottaiyan led tributes at the party office in Karattur, Gobichettipalayam, Erode district, honoring Veeramangai Velu Nachiyar. The former minister extended Christmas greetings and hailed Nachiyar as a historical fighter against the British. He positioned actor Vijay as Tamil Nadu’s future chief minister in 2026.
Sengottaiyan questioned if only the ruling two parties—DMK and AIADMK—should govern Tamil Nadu, advocating for new forces like TVK. TVK workers are verifying voter lists per Vijay’s instructions, including from OPS’s faction. He urged patience, promising major AIADMK defections soon.
On alliances, Sengottaiyan said TVK can negotiate with anyone, with final decisions by leadership. Since joining TVK, he has strengthened the party in Kongu region through secret talks with dissatisfied leaders. Post-Pongal, a large induction event is planned for AIADMK and other party members.
