The Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) has announced that it will hold a meeting of its district secretaries on January 5 at the party headquarters in Koyambedu, Chennai. The meeting, to be led by General Secretary Premalatha Vijayakant, is expected to be significant in shaping the party’s organisational strategy and political direction ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.According to the announcement, the gathering will focus on key topics such as strengthening the party’s structure, discussing preparations for upcoming local body polls, and evaluating strategies to expand DMDK’s presence across the state. Party leaders believe that the meeting will help streamline activities at the district level and better coordinate efforts among the cadre.
The discussions are also expected to include planning for the DMDK’s state conference scheduled for January 9.
