Senior AIADMK leader and former Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami is expected to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah during Shah’s visit to Tamil Nadu on January 4 and 5. Shah’s trip will include events in Pudukkottai, Tiruchy, and Srirangam as part of the BJP’s campaign ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections.
The meeting is likely to take place in Tiruchy on January 5, coinciding with a “Modi Pongal” event organised for around 2,000 women participants.
Leaders are expected to discuss political strategies, including alliance plans and coordination between the AIADMK and BJP ahead of the elections.
Shah’s visit is part of the BJP’s broader outreach in Tamil Nadu, involving rallies and party meetings.
The discussions with Palaniswami could play an important role in shaping future political strategies and alliance equations for the upcoming polls.
