Actor Atharvaa Murali, known for his versatility and striking performances, is set to captivate audiences once again in the upcoming film Parasakthi, starring alongside Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, and Sreeleela. The film, produced by Aakash Bhaskaran of Dawn Pictures and directed by Sudha Kongara, is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on January 10, 2026.
Speaking about his role, Atharvaa said, “Parasakthi is a piece of history, reflecting the student movements that shaped our state. It promises to be a special and indelible film for all of you.” He shared his excitement about working with the team, praising co-star Sreeleela for her energy and dancing skills. “She exudes such vitality that her bubbly presence invigorates the entire set. She shall be hailed as one of the finest dancers in the Indian industry,” he said.
Atharvaa also recalled the inspiration he drew from Ravi Mohan, particularly a dance sequence from Santhosh Subramaniam, which taught him the value of spreading joy. On working with director Sudha Kongara, he added, “I have known Sudha ma’am for many years. Upon meeting her for this film, she insisted I forgo the title of ‘ma’am’, despite being the creator of cult masterpieces.”
Talking about Sivakarthikeyan, Atharvaa remarked, “Sivakarthikeyan is now my brother both onscreen and off. I have always marvelled at his career growth; every step he takes is meticulously calculated. Few successes feel as intimately personal as his, and SK’s achievements fill me with unalloyed joy.”
With a musical score by GV Prakash and visually striking promos, Parasakthi has already raised expectations among audiences. The film’s ensemble cast, engaging storyline, and historical context make it one of the most anticipated Tamil releases of early 2026.
