Senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, is set to visit Gudalur in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu today to participate in the golden jubilee celebrations of St. Thomas English High School.
According to Congress sources, Rahul Gandhi’s visit will be purely ceremonial, with no political programmes or public meetings scheduled during his brief stay in the hill town. He is expected to arrive by helicopter from Mysuru at around 3.30 p.m., attend the school event, and depart by 4.30 p.m. the same day. Apart from a formal reception by local Congress leaders at the helipad, no additional engagements have been planned.
This will mark Rahul Gandhi’s second visit to Gudalur in recent years. His last visit to the region was in September 2022 during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
