Actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay on Friday constituted a 10-member election campaign committee to oversee the party’s preparatory work for the upcoming Assembly elections.
The committee will be headed by party general secretary N. Anand and includes senior leaders Aadhav Arjuna, K.A. Sengottaiyan, A. Parthiban, B. Rajkumar, K.V. Vijay Dhamu, S.P. Selvam, Pichairathinam Karikalan, M. Niyaz and J. Catherine Pandian.
Announcing the decision, Vijay said the panel would plan and coordinate election-related activities at the State, district and constituency levels, including consultations and campaign meetings across all 234 Assembly constituencies. He urged party cadre to extend full cooperation to the committee.
The move comes days after Vijay constituted a separate committee to draft the party’s election manifesto, signalling an intensification of TVK’s poll preparations.
