Actor Vijay Sethupathi on Friday launched vvvsi.com, a free job portal, in Madurai, marking a significant step in expanding access to employment opportunities for youth without any charges. The portal is an initiative of the Vallalar Employment Service Movement, which has been working for the past 10 years to connect job seekers and private companies purely as a humanitarian social service.
Over the last decade, the movement has partnered with more than 34,000 private companies and facilitated direct employment for over 2.17 lakh young people, including first-generation graduates from remote villages across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. By taking verified job information from companies to the grassroots without collecting any fees, the initiative has played a key role in improving economic stability and social mobility for thousands of families.
Launching the website, Vijay Sethupathi praised the organisation’s commitment, saying that securing a job transforms not just an individual’s life but the future of an entire family. He noted that the movement has acted as a strong bridge between youth and employment for the last 10 years. The event was attended by staff, volunteers, trustees and advisory members, while the arrangements were led by the founder and managing trustee Veeraraghavan.
