New Delhi: Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh has said that military power remains the ultimate arbiter of national security, asserting that economic strength and diplomacy alone are not sufficient to safeguard a nation’s sovereignty.Speaking at the Subroto Mukherjee Seminar, the IAF chief stressed that a strong military, backed by the political will to use it when required, is essential to deter adversaries. He cautioned that restraint without adequate strength could be interpreted as weakness.
Highlighting the role of air power in modern warfare, Air Chief Marshal Singh said it has consistently played a decisive role in conflicts. His remarks underscored the need for continuous military preparedness amid evolving global and regional security challenges.
