Sirai fame Akshay begins his next

Seven Screen Studios producer S.S. Lalit Kumar’s upcoming project, tentatively titled ‘Production No. 13’, was formally launched with a traditional pooja ceremony in Chennai, with shooting already progressing at a brisk pace. The film features L.K. Akshay Kumar in the lead role and is being positioned as a content-driven entertainer.
L.K. Akshay Kumar, who won acclaim for his spellbinding performance in his debut film ‘Sirai’, essays the protagonist in this yet-to-be-titled project. Expectations around the film are high, especially after Sirai emerged as a major success, grossing over ₹30 crore worldwide.
The film marks the directorial debut of Vignesh Vadivel and boasts a strong ensemble cast including Jaffer Sadiq, Noble K. James, Arunachaleswaran P.A., Shariq Hassan, and ‘Dude’ fame Aishwarya Sharma, among others.
On the technical front, Leon Britto handles cinematography, while Jen Martin composes the music. Bharath Vikraman is in charge of editing, P.S. Hariharan oversees art direction, and Priya handles costume design. K. Arun and Manikandan serve as executive producers, with L.K. Vishnu co-producing the film.
Described as a fun-filled entertainer aimed at universal audiences, the film is being shot simultaneously in Tamil and Malayalam. The final leg of shooting is currently underway, with the makers planning a summer 2026 release.
