Chennai is set to host a soulful celebration of music and cinema with ‘Yennodu Vaa Veedu Varaikkum’, a special musical tribute concert commemorating 25 glorious years of acclaimed filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon. Renowned for his signature style, emotional depth and urban romantic narratives, Gautham Menon’s films have left a lasting imprint on Indian cinema, with their music playing a defining role in shaping generations of listeners.The concert will feature an impressive lineup of celebrated singers and performers who have been closely associated with the filmmaker’s musical legacy. The star-studded ensemble includes Karthik, Sid Sriram, Blaaze, Paal Dabba, Alphonse, Shashaa Tripathi, Sathya Prakash, Haripriya and Charulatha Mani, promising an evocative evening filled with iconic songs and memorable live performances.
Conceptualised as a nostalgic yet contemporary musical journey, Yennodu Vaa Veedu Varaikkum will revisit melodies that beautifully captured love, longing, youth and modern romance—themes that have consistently defined Gautham Vasudev Menon’s cinema over the past two and a half decades. The concert aims to transport audiences through time, celebrating the emotional connect of his films through music.
The event is produced by Preethi Srivijayan’s Oru Oorile Oru Film House, in association with Sidhu Nair, and is scheduled to be held on February 1, from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm, at the prestigious Music Academy, Chennai.
