Senior political leader K.A. Sengottaiyan, now with Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), on Tuesday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of meddling in alliance discussions, saying whenever talks of tie-ups begin, leaders from Delhi step in, complicating negotiations.
Speaking to the media in Coimbatore, Sengottaiyan dismissed speculation about potential alliances with other parties, including PMK founder S. Ramadoss, suggesting it is better not to talk openly about seat arrangements given outside interference.
He also launched a sharp critique at the AIADMK, claiming its ministers and IT cell are focusing on targeting TVK instead of taking on the ruling DMK. Sengottaiyan said this behaviour shows AIADMK is acting as the DMK’s “B team” rather than a genuine opposition force.
On corruption allegations against him, he maintained that courts have cleared his name and warned of legal action against anyone continuing to level politically motivated charges.
