Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday accused the BJP of deliberately spreading false propaganda against Rahul Gandhi by raking up the so-called “gamosa row.” Kharge said the controversy was being manufactured to damage Rahul Gandhi’s image and divert attention from pressing national issues.Dismissing the allegations, Kharge asserted that there was nothing disrespectful in Rahul Gandhi’s actions and claimed the BJP was twisting facts to mislead the public. He alleged that such tactics reflect the ruling party’s fear of the growing public support for the Congress and the INDIA bloc.
Kharge further said the BJP has consistently resorted to character assassination and misinformation whenever it faces political challenges, and warned that people are increasingly seeing through these “cheap propaganda” efforts.
