The much‑anticipated Tamil action film Yogi Da, starring Sai Dhanshika, has finally locked its new theatrical release date. After years of delays since its initial announcement in 2018, the movie is now scheduled to hit cinemas on February 6.
Written and directed by Goutham Krishna, Yogi Da features Dhanshika in the role of a determined police officer on a mission to root out corruption in her town. The title of the film is inspired by her character’s look in the Rajinikanth‑Pa Ranjith film Kabali, including a similar hairstyle, which became a talking point among audiences when the trailer debuted last year.
The trailer released in May 2025 showcased intense action sequences with Dhanshika’s character taking on goons and facing formidable challenges. Kabir Duhan Singh plays the antagonist, while Sayaji Shinde is seen in a significant supporting role.
On the technical front, Yogi Da brings together seasoned hands: S KA Boopathi as cinematographer, G Sasikumar in editing, stunt direction by G Ganesh Kumar, music by Deepak Dev, and songs composed by Jayanthi Ashwamithra.
