
Chennai police on Friday recovered the body of a Bihar migrant worker’s wife from the Perungudi garbage dump yard, days after the brutal murder of her husband and child came to light. The body was found after an intensive search based on information provided by the accused.
The case surfaced on January 26 with the recovery of the migrant worker’s body in Adyar, followed by the discovery of the couple’s young child near the Buckingham Canal. Police said the woman’s body had been dumped along with garbage collected from the city.
Five persons have been arrested in connection with the triple murder. Investigations are continuing to establish the motive and sequence of events.
