
Vijay, leader of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has said his party will firmly achieve its democratic goal of taking over the reins of government in the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. The statement came as part of his address marking the third anniversary of TVK’s founding, in which he urged party workers to step up their efforts for election success.
In a message to supporters, Vijay described TVK as a people’s movement that has grown steadily since its launch, emphasising unity, determination and strategic campaigning as key to winning democratic legitimacy through the polls. He said the 2026 election presents a new and unprecedented political landscape and called on cadres to work with clarity and skill to secure governance for the party.
