
Tractors and Farm Equipment Ltd (TAFE) Chairman and Managing Director Mallika Srinivasan on Sunday welcomed the Union Budget 2026, describing it as a balanced and forward-looking roadmap that reinforces India’s commitment to sustainable and inclusive growth.
In a statement here, she said the Budget demonstrates strong fiscal prudence, with a clear commitment to consolidation and a fiscal deficit target of 4.37%, reaffirming the government’s focus on macroeconomic stability while continuing to support growth priorities.
She noted that public investment continues to be the anchor of India’s growth story and said the sustained emphasis on capital expenditure was encouraging. The push for dedicated freight corridors, high-speed rail corridors and container manufacturing underlines the government’s resolve to build world-class infrastructure that boosts long-term productivity and growth.
