Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Nainar Nagendran has called for all Congress Members of Parliament (MPs) to resign en masse, saying they should apologise publicly for their alleged role in recent disruption in the Lok Sabha. In a post on social media, Nagendran criticised Congress leaders for what he described as a conspiracy to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi during parliamentary proceedings. He labelled the alleged action as illegal and said it reflected poorly on the partyâs conduct. Nagendran, who is leading the BJPâs campaign in Tamil Nadu ahead of state elections, claimed that repeated electoral defeats had left Congress in a state of frustration. He demanded that all Congress MPs tender their resignations and seek public forgiveness for causing what he termed a deliberate attack on parliamentary norms. He also warned that the BJP would organise mass protests if the Congress leaders failed to comply with his call. The remarks come amid heightened political tensions in Parliament after opposition protests during the Motion of Thanks debate led to disruption of proceedings and sharp exchanges between parties.
