The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced a planned power outage in several areas of Chennai tomorrow, February 11, 2026, due to maintenance work on the electrical network. According to the official notification, the power cut will take place from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with supply expected to resume once the work is completed. Residents in the affected localities are advised to plan their activities accordingly.
The power disruption will impact neighbourhoods in zones like Nanganallur, where streets including Sheela Nagar, Aishwarya Street, Ramakrishna Raju Nagar, Neelamegam Street and surrounding areas will face a break in electricity supply. Similarly, parts of Royapuram  including M.C. Road, Kallarai Road, P.V. Koil, Raman Street, Venkatasalam Street, Masoodi Street and several adjoining lanes — are also included in the outage schedule. Residents in these areas should make advance arrangements for essential needs during the outage period.  TNEB has emphasised that the outage is part of necessary maintenance to improve system reliability and that power will be restored as soon as possible. Homeowners and businesses in the listed zones are encouraged to take note of the timings to minimise disruption to daily activities.
