The Tiruchirappalli district administration has banned the use of drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles ahead of the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The order, issued by District Collector V. Saravanan, will be in force for two days during the Minister’s scheduled programmes in the city. The ban has been imposed as a precautionary security measure.
Officials said that flying drones, remotely operated aircraft, or similar devices without permission during this period is strictly prohibited. Legal action will be taken against those who violate the order.
Security arrangements have been strengthened across Tiruchirappalli in view of the high-profile visit, with police monitoring key locations and event venues. Authorities have urged the public to cooperate and adhere to the restrictions until the ban is lifted.
