Due to ongoing redevelopment works at Chennai Egmore railway station, suburban train services will operate under temporary arrangements for 45 days. Passengers are advised to check updated schedules and plan their travel accordingly. From midnight of February 20 until April 5, suburban trains will operate only from Platforms 5 and 6, and the existing electric train timetable will be revised. A temporary train schedule will be issued for this period, and there will be no separate Sunday timetable. These measures are part of infrastructure upgrades at the station, aimed at improving facilities and ensuring greater convenience for commuters. Authorities have requested passengers to arrive early at the station to avoid any inconvenience during the temporary changes.
