Washington, Feb 20: India participated as an observer in the first meeting of US President Donald Trump’s newly formed ‘Board of Peace’ held in Washington. The meeting brought together representatives from several countries to discuss global peace, reconstruction and stabilisation efforts, particularly in conflict-affected regions. India was represented by its senior diplomat in Washington and did not join the body as a full member.
The initiative is part of Trump’s broader diplomatic push aimed at conflict resolution and post-war rebuilding efforts. India’s presence as an observer signals a cautious but engaged approach toward the new platform.
