M. K. Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and president of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), has strongly asserted that his party is certain to win the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections and return to power.Speaking at a meeting of the DMK’s information technology wing in Chennai’s Nandanam, Stalin urged party workers to be proactive both online and offline. He said the DMK should not only counter opposition criticism but set the political agenda and highlight the party’s achievements to voters.
Stalin emphasized that opponents are trying to spread misinformation, but the DMK’s digital team and grassroots workers must actively communicate the government’s accomplishments and welfare initiatives to the public. He described his party’s strong cadre network and digital engagement as key to securing victory in the elections.
According to Stalin, the electorate already knows that the DMK is poised to win again, but the focus now must be on how big the victory will be — not just winning.
Political developments ahead of the polls also include the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) formally joining the DMK-led alliance — a move expected to strengthen the electoral alliance.
Stalin’s comments reflect the DMK’s confidence as it intensifies campaign efforts and positions itself for a strong performance in the elections scheduled for later this year.
