Final voter list for 16 Chennai Assembly Constituencies out

The Final Electoral Roll 2026 for all 16 Assembly constituencies in Chennai district was officially released on February 23, 2026, following directions from the Election Commission of India.

The Final Electoral Roll 2026 for all 16 Assembly constituencies in Chennai district was officially released on February 23, 2026, following directions from the Election Commission of India.
The revision was carried out under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise with January 1, 2026 as the qualifying date. The final list was published in the presence of representatives from recognised political parties.
The updated electoral rolls are available for public inspection at Greater Chennai Corporation zonal offices in Zones 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 13, as well as at all polling stations across the district.
Over 28.3 Lakh Voters in Chennai
According to the final roll, Chennai district has a total of 28,30,936 voters.
Male voters: 13,65,763
Female voters: 14,64,344
Third gender voters: 829
Women voters continue to outnumber men across major constituencies in the city.
A total of 4,079 polling stations have been set up across Chennai district. Velachery has the highest number of polling booths at 314, while Harbour has the lowest at 192.
Constituency-Wise Voter Strength
Among the 16 constituencies, Perambur has the highest number of voters at 2,22,792, while Harbour has the lowest at 1,16,896.
The constituency-wise voter figures are as follows:

Perambur – 2,22,792
Kolathur – 2,07,251
Villivakkam – 1,59,764
Thiru-Vi-Ka Nagar (SC) – 1,78,793
Egmore (SC) – 1,34,879
Royapuram – 1,56,931
Harbour – 1,16,896
Chepauk–Thiruvallikeni – 1,63,866
Thousand Lights – 1,53,908
Anna Nagar – 1,81,402
Virugambakkam – 1,96,536
Saidapet – 2,00,697
T. Nagar – 1,54,943
Mylapore – 1,94,731
Velachery – 2,11,691
Officials have advised residents to verify their names and family details in the final electoral roll to ensure they are eligible to vote in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
