In a significant boost to domestic connectivity, flight services between Tiruchirappalli and Chennai will increase to six daily operations from March 29.
The additional services on the Tiruchirappalli International Airport–Chennai International Airport sector will be operated by IndiGo. The airline had earlier reduced frequencies on the route before gradually restoring three daily ATR flights. With the latest expansion, the full six daily services will resume.
The move is expected to benefit business travellers, students and passengers travelling for medical and official purposes, offering better seat availability and flexible timing options.
The Trichy–Chennai sector remains one of Tamil Nadu’s key short-haul domestic air routes, linking central districts with the state capital.
