The Union Home Ministry has initially allotted 50 companies of Central forces for Tamil Nadu to be deployed on duty in view of the ensuing Assembly elections.
A release from the office of the Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer said the 50 companies of the central forces would be inducted in to the State on March 10.
It said “50 Coys of CAPFs has been initially allotted to the State of Tamil Nadu by Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi for area domination, confidence building measures etc., in connection with General Elections to Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, 2026. The initial 50 Coys of CPAF will be inducted on 10.03.2026 to the State of Tamil Nadu”.
