A total of 217 passengers who were stranded in Dubai due to flight disruptions returned safely to Chennai in the early hours of Tuesday. The special flight landed at Chennai International Airport after services resumed following temporary airspace restrictions in parts of the Middle East.
The passengers had been stuck for nearly three days after escalating regional tensions led to sudden flight cancellations and airspace closures. With limited operations restored, arrangements were made to bring them back to the city, bringing relief to anxious families waiting at the airport.
Meanwhile, uncertainty over flight operations continues as airspace restrictions are being reviewed periodically in view of the prevailing situation. Authorities are closely monitoring developments to ensure passenger safety and smooth travel operations.
