The United States military has claimed it struck nearly 2,000 Iranian targets since the launch of Operation Epic Fury, marking one of the most extensive campaigns in recent years amid escalating regional tensions.
According to the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), the strikes have significantly degraded Iran’s military infrastructure. The operation reportedly included the destruction of 17 Iranian naval vessels, among them one submarine.
In a video statement posted on X, CENTCOM’s commander, Brad Cooper, said the campaign has effectively neutralised Iran’s maritime presence in key waterways.
“Today, there is not a single Iranian ship underway in the Arabian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, or Gulf of Oman,” Cooper stated, underscoring the scale of the offensive.
