Opposition AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami will resume his statewide “Ezhuchi Payanam” (awakening journey) this weekend as part of the party’s mass outreach campaign titled “Makkalai Kaappom, Thamizhagathai Meetpom.” (protect people, retrieve TN) campaign ahead of the upcoming elections to the Tamil Nadu Assemby.
As part of the next leg of the tour, EPS will address a series of public meetings in Erode district on March 7 and 8.
On March 7, EPS will participate in a public meeting at 4.30 PM in Andhiyur under the Erode Suburb West Assembly constituency. The next day he will address a public gathering at 4.00 PM in Perundurai under the Erode Suburb East constituency, followed by another public meeting at 5.30 PM in Bhavani.
“The ‘Ezhuchi Payanam’ has been witnessing overwhelming public response across the state, with people from all walks of life participating enthusiastically and expressing their support for AIADMK’s vision for Tamil Nadu”, an AIADMK release said today.
The party has directed the district secretaries concerned to make comprehensive and special arrangements to ensure the success of the meetings.
The release also called upon district in-charges, former ministers, former MPs and MLAs, state and district-level executives of party wings, office-bearers functioning at various levels of the organisation, current and former representatives of local bodies, former cooperative society representatives, party cadres and the general public to participate in large numbers.
The AIADMK reiterated that the awakening journey campaign is aimed at protecting the interests of the people, restoring good governance in Tamil Nadu, and taking the party’s policies and commitments directly to the masses.
