Air India has cancelled several flights to and from destinations in West Asia due to the ongoing conflict in the region. The airline said the decision was taken to ensure passenger safety amid disruptions in airspace.
Passengers whose flights have been cancelled can either reschedule their travel for a later date without additional charges or opt for a full refund. The airline has advised affected travellers to submit rebooking or cancellation requests through its official website or contact customer support.
Passengers flying with Air India Express from UAE stations will also be allowed to rebook their flights without extra charges on services operating from the UAE to various destinations in India. The airlines said passengers are being informed through their registered mobile numbers regarding available rebooking options.
Air India Express passengers with confirmed bookings can also rebook their flights through the airline’s digital assistant on WhatsApp. The Air India group added that it is exploring the possibility of operating additional flights to and from West Asia depending on how the situation evolves.
