US president Donald Trump has claimed that the United States has effectively won the ongoing conflict with Iran but said American forces would not withdraw immediately, insisting the mission must be completed.
Speaking at a rally, Trump said the U.S. military had severely weakened Iran’s military capabilities and destroyed several naval assets. However, he stressed that withdrawing too early could allow Iran to rebuild and pose a threat again.
The U.S. President said American forces would remain in the region until all objectives were achieved and the threat from Iran was fully neutralised.
The conflict, involving U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iranian targets, has escalated tensions across the Middle East and raised concerns over global energy supplies and regional stability.
