The popular film Dhaam Dhoom, starring Ravi Mohan in the lead, is all set to return to theatres in a digitally enhanced format. The film, which once enjoyed massive popularity among youth, is being re-released to recreate the nostalgia for fans.

The re-release is being planned on a grand scale by Murugan Film Factory, led by distributors Kandasamy and Balasubramani. Known for distributing several successful films in the Salem region, they also operate the Grand Cinemas multiplex in Hosur. With this initiative, they aim to bring back cherished memories for audiences who enjoyed the film during its original release.

Originally released on August 28, 2008, ā€œDhaam Dhoomā€ was widely appreciated for its stylish presentation, international locations, action sequences, and romantic elements. The film continues to hold a special place among audiences, especially the 2K generation who remember it fondly.

The movie also marked the Tamil debut of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who has since become a leading figure in Hindi cinema and is also active in politics. The film featured a strong supporting cast including Raai Laxmi, Jayaram, Bose Venkat and Mahadevan.

Music by Harris Jayaraj played a crucial role in the film’s success, with several songs becoming chartbusters and continuing to be popular even today.

Directed by late cinematographer-turned-director Jeeva, ā€œDhaam Dhoomā€ was a complete commercial entertainer backed by high production values. It was produced by Mediaone Global Entertainment Limited and Ayngaran International / Metro Film (P) Ltd.
