The mystery surrounding the spine-chilling “librarian” character from Demonte Colony 2 has finally been addressed, with the makers announcing that Guru Somasundaram will play the role in the upcoming third instalment.
The eerie character had left audiences intrigued at the end of the second film, with his identity deliberately kept under wraps, setting the stage for a major reveal in Demonte Colony 3. Along with the announcement, the team also released a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video from the sets, offering a glimpse into the making of the film.
Headlined by Arulnithi, the film is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu. The cast includes Priya Bhavani Shankar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, and Archana Ravichandran in key roles. Previously released posters had already heightened anticipation, showing Arulnithi in a haunting “Demonte” avatar seated among corpses, while Priya Bhavani Shankar appeared holding a womb with blood-soaked hands.
The film’s music will be composed by Sam C. S., with production handled by Sudhan Sundaram, Manish Singhal, and Durgaram Choudhary. Cinematography is by Sivakumar Vijayan, while editing is overseen by Kumaresh D.
The Demonte Colony franchise began with Demonte Colony, followed by its sequel in 2024, which continued the storyline with Arulnithi in dual roles. The third instalment is slated for a summer release this year and is expected to unravel the long-standing mystery behind the librarian, adding a new layer of intrigue to the popular horror series.
